Description Of Sessions
Brush, straw, masking, sponge
In this session, participants will choose a technique to use (brush, straw, masking, sponge) to create their own poster/painting. These guided open sessions focus on opening up children's minds by allowing them to explore and experiment at their own pace.
Making Clay Objects
In this session, participants will mold different objects with Air-Dry Clay which they will also paint when dry. With this activity, your children will experiment what 3D modeling is all about and will be able to distinguish depth, thickness, perspective and textures.
With squirt guns/spray bottles and sponge
In this session, participants will create posters by painting with the tools they choose. This activity is a lot of fun for them because it is messy. Depending on the technique they choose, they will get different results and will be able to differentiate what every technique provides. Mom calls it “messy”, we call it ART.
Fun collage making
In this session, participants will be guided to create a collage piece of their own based on their taste by using nature items like leaves, feathers and rocks, different types of papers, textures, fabrics, paints, and cutout prints among other things.
Paper Mache Masks
In this session, participants will make 3D models out of this great material which consists of small pieces of paper mixed with water and plastic glue. They will design and mold their own objects such as masks which are a favorite. Once dry, the models will be painted. This material will show them versatility and texture.
